A neutral living room sets the tone for an elegant and timelesslook.

Neutral colors can provide a perfect base for your livingroom decor. The living room walls can be painted pale gray, ivory, stone, whiteor even a dusty blue. One of the great things about a neutrally colored room isthat the scheme lends a light and airy appeal.  You can always welcome a pop of color, or texture, even addcontrast with dark pieces, such as the end tables or coffee table.. Then thereis always a fireplace to add contrast and light, as well as spark.  (Refer to my posts on window treatments, a pop of color, flooring, area rugs and lighting).

Plush, creamy furnishings prove to be both beautiful andwelcoming in a contemporary, modern or traditional living room. Add texturewith patterned pillows, lamp shades, and small furniture pieces.

Hardwood flooring can set the tone for a neutral living room.

A great way to add style andpattern to your neutral living room is through textural treatments on the walls.

Clean white furnishngs paired with crisp french doorsand windows for a unique contrast. The doors and windows allow ample amount oflight to bounce off the wood floors, creating a warm atmosphere. Then, an arearug to add texture.

Electic means blending old and new style in you home tocreate a unique design that reflects your personality

When determining how to furnish your neutral living room you canincorporate a splash of color for simple contrast and a fun twist.
